Each year the university admissions process becomes more complicated. With the influx of students from across the globe looking to attend highly selective universities in the US, the applicant pool becomes much more competitive. Students need to start this process early and make very deliberate choices of which schools will become part of their “list”. They must find schools that match all of their criteria so they will thrive, but also need to balance that decision with schools that will provide needed financial support.
It’s easy to be swayed by others who have “best intentions” and provide advice as to where is best for the student. But only an experienced, professional educational consultant, with up to date knowledge, data and tools to support the university admissions process, will guide the student down the correct path to determine which universities will provide the best fit for them.

Some students need assistance with the entire college search and application process, while others need only targeted help. We help take the stress out of the process, ensure an appropriate timeline to prevent procrastination, and, by taking the lead role in guiding your student, remove a major source of contention between parents and children going through the admissions process.

All packages begin with an intake meeting which is a 60 to 90 minute session during which we get to know one another and review the student’s current courses, transcripts, test scores to date, extra-curriculars, talents/sports, interests and the family’s desire for financial aid. Based on this conversation, we create a customized plan and timeline for you.
The Comprehensive University Admissions Program
Begins in February of Form 5/Lower 6 (Sophomore/Junior year) and runs through December of Freshman year at university with one-on-one meetings on a regular basis. M*Power will spend approximately 50 hours of time directly supporting the student during the duration of our agreement.
Comprehensive services include, but are not limited to, the following list

- Refine university list to include 7-15 “best fit” reach, target and safety schools
- Provide guidance on financial aid and scholarships
- Define your admissions theme and unique passion
- Customize timeline based on your list of universities
- Advise on teacher recommendation strategy and selection
- Prepare for Admission Interviews
- Support completion of Common App or other application
- Brainstorm college essay topics and assist in development of college essays
- Review application and essays prior to submissionvide guidance on financial aid and scholarships
- Final Decision Consultation, including evaluation of Financial Aid, Scholarships and Merit AwardsDefine your admissions theme and unique passion
- Guide communication for admissions representative engagement and demonstrated interestDefining expectations and responsibilities for students and parents
- Provide Matriculation Support for: • Enrollment activities and clarify any pre-requisite requirements • US student visa step by step instructions • Transition to university and “move in” freshman year • Guidance on university services, registration, study habits, time management and other productivity tools
